The Wholesale Electricity Market

The WEM is Western Australia's stand-alone electricity market, serving the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) — the grid covering Perth and the south-west corner of the state. Unlike the eastern states' National Electricity Market, the WEM operates independently and has been administered by AEMO since October 2023.

All datasets on this platform are sourced directly from AEMO's WEM data feeds and cover generation, pricing, and dispatch activity within the SWIS only.
